Apple releases a new beta of 10.8.5
Apple offers its new beta testers 10.8.5. This is the build 12F36. It is still too early to know if this update has a connection with the two security vulnerabilities discovered last week hence we have to wait and watch.
The release notes are identical to the previous version and indicate the following corrections:
• solve a problem that could prevent Mail display messages;
• improves the performance of AFP transfer files via Wi-Fi 802.11ac;
• solve a problem that could prevent the screen saver to start automatically;
• improved reliability for Xsan.
As the note from the sources, Apple also offers a new developer preview of Safari 6.1. It will be recalled that on the same night, Apple released a new beta Mavericks.

Website hosting from Network Solutions
Perhaps the most important aspect of online marketing is the web hosting
service that a business owner chooses to partner with to host his or
her website. A web host serves as the middleman between a business owner
and the customer and ensures that the content that the business has
placed online is being viewed as the business owner wants it to be
viewed. A good web host will also have plenty of safeguards in place to
ensure that no emergency will cause a hosted website to be lost to a
customer.
If you are a business owner that is looking for a web hosting service, there are a few questions that you should ask:
1 - Does this web hosting service have a guaranteed uptime and do you have to pay for extended periods of downtime?
2 - Does the web hosting service have redundant servers as well as mirrors to maximize uptime?
3 - Does the web hosting service ensure compatibility with popular third party applications?
4 - Does the web hosting service provide the ability to create a mobile website that is different from the desktop website?
If you have not yet found the web hosting service that can answer all of these questions satisfactorily, then you may want to check out website hosting from Network Solutions. A highly reputable company, Network Solutions provides its clients with the guarantees that are necessary to ensure that a business has the opportunity for success online.

cat5 cables at TriangleCables
Frayed , worn and outdated computer cables can not only slow data down,
they can pose a health hazard. Shocks and fires resulting from
electronics endanger people and their property. Accidents like these can
bring a business to its knees or bankrupt a family, not to mention the
devastation if someone suffers personal injury. It's important for
individuals and businesses to upgrade their cables accordingly to
prevent lost time and data, as well as tragedy.
People who are moving massive amounts of data – whether they're processing documents for corporations or creating their own music videos – tax the computer systems they're running on. Old cables can slow the transfer of data down. Companies that want to stay abreast of the competition in speed will need the latest cables capable of handling Gigabits, like cat5 cables at TriangleCables.
These new kinds of cables also help businesses get the most out of new equipment. After upgrading to a computer system that can handle tougher jobs, it makes no sense to rely on the same old cords. Outdated cables aren't able to handle the same kinds of transfer demands, and wind up limiting the performance of new equipment. More importantly, these stresses can lead to major problems.
Overheated power cords can be a source of property damage and personal injury. This happens when damaged or overtaxed cables are used regularly. One home in Westfield, MA, had over $75,000 in damage due to a computer cord fire in April of 2013. This is just one reason that purchasing new, safe and more effective cables is more than worth the price.

PNY Storedge provides 128 GB of additional memory in Macbook
PNY Storedge has introduced the a solution for Apple's Macbooks that fits into the SD card slot and up to 128 GB of additional space allows. Macbooks with fixed SSD is ideal for this option. The Storedge looks like a scaled-SD card that only so far as it is out of the Macbook is necessary so that they can be pulled out again. Compared with SDXC cards Storedge the cards, however, are not exactly a bargain. The 64-GB module costs around 100 dollars and the model with 128 GB is offered for $ 200. A similar idea how PNY Storedge had is also used by the manufacturer of the adapter Nifty Drive, which was successfully funded via Kickstarter. The Nifty Drive has no own memory, but is equipped with a micro SD card and then sunk completely into the memory card slot of the Macbook. To fish out the adapter again, a paper clip or a similar pointed object must be used. The Macbook Air and the MacBook Pro with Retina screen cannot upgrade from Apple later with more SSD storage. A maximum of 768 GB SSDs orderable, but the memory is very expensive. For example, the MacBook Pro 13-inch large screen instead prefers to 256 GB 128 GB of memory; you must pay an additional fee of 200 Euros. For the upgrade to 768 GB even may cost around 900 Euros.

Wacom specialist in graphics and other tools for digital design have two novelties. The Intuos Creative is a Bluetooth Stylus Pen for iPad, but the most interesting novelty is perhaps two new Cintiq earning their monopoly. Wacom stylus already offers several mobile devices running iOS or Android. The latest, the Intuos Creative Stylus is for iPad and uses a wireless connection to transmit its information. At stake, a much better precision, since this stylus can handle not less than 2048 levels of pressure. In return, it will supply it with a AAAA battery that is supposed to withstand for more than 150 hours. Inside, there is a Bluetooth and it guarantees for better battery life, but that probably explains why the product is reserved for a limited number of tablets. It will take iPad 3, iPad 4 or iPad mini to use the Intuos Stylus Creative, but also a compatible application. Announced at € 99, this stylus will not be available until October, but you can already order it on Amazon for € 120. Wacom offers two colors (black and blue) and accompanies the pen of a case that doubles as storage for different sized caps.
LG G2 - The best Android phone yet?
LG announced their long awaited G2 smartphone two weeks ago to much fan-fair in New York. The phone made headlines across the world and is sure to be a best seller, but is it the best smartphone that money can buy? We decided to pit it against major phones from Samsung, HTC, Apple and others to see if this truly is the best phone of the year.
What caught most of the media attention in the announcement of the LG G2 was the unusual placement of the home button. While almost all smartphones place the home button below the screen, LG innovatively moved it to the back of the device just below the camera. This way they were able to increase the size of the screen without the phone becoming bulky. The results are certainly attractive - the thin bezel makes the phone look like a masterpiece of minimalist design - but is it functional? One thing that's for certain is that it will take a little getting used to. Most of us grip our phones in a way that will allow us to easily use the button (which can also be used for other functions such as volume control), but after years of using a below screen home button changing habits might not come easy.
If you don't mind using the rather unusual home button, the main way to compare this phone with other Android devices is on speed. With a Snapdragon 800 Quad-Core 2.3GHz processor described as a "power horse" by one blog, no currently available mobile can compete when it comes to processing power. The chip is so good that it's unlikely that even Apple's upcoming iPhone 5S, rumoured to be unveiled on September 10th, will be able to compete.
But as every geek knows, there's more to speed than processing power. RAM, where our devices store data that's being processed, is also important. Here the LG G2 matches up to the standard 2GB that every high end phone has been fitted with this year, but falls behind the 3GB chip that is expected in the Samsung Galaxy Note III which will be launched shortly.
Storage is one area where phones haven't really seen major improvements in recent years and while the LG G2 comes with respectable offerings of either 16GB or 32GB, it doesn't come with the all important micro SD card slot favoured by those who regularly use their phones for photography.
Camera phone photographers aren't likely to be opting for this device anyway. While the 13 megapixel main camera is respectable, it is significantly lower than other offerings on the market including the Nokia Lumia 1020 with its 41 megapixel chip. The camera does have optical image stabilisation and a sapphire lens, so there's no reason to be put off the phone if you only use the camera casually though. It's also capable of 1080p video recording which is about as good as you'll find on any smartphone.
The screen on the device is arguably the best feature. Coming in at 5.2" inches places the device between a traditional smartphone and a phablet. The screen is larger than the 5" display on the bestselling Samsung Galaxy S4, but thanks to the thin bezel the phone feels smaller than Samsung's rather chunky device. It's also got a full HD resolution and an amazingly bright panel, perfect for use on sunny days.
Would we recommend the LG G2 over the other main devices on the market? The specs do mean the device will be marginally faster than the Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One and other major Android phones, but not enough to say conclusively that this should be your only option. The phone design is better than the S4, but only about equal to the Sony Xperia Z or HTC One. If you're an Apple user considering switching to Android you might be better to wait to see what Apple announces in a few weeks before making the decision to switch. If you're still not certain if this is the phone for you go try it out when it comes to your local phone store.

iTunes 11.1 Beta
With the latest OS X Mavericks DP 4 arrived this week, iTunes 11.1 is now installed automatically with the new system. The music player is also in beta since July 29, and that 11.1 was previously distributed only to developers. The next iTunes is compatible with OS X Lion and his successors. iTunes 11.1 beta finally uses the Notification Center OS X. When the application is in the background or hidden, the new song being played is displayed in an alert. In the preferences panel notifications OS X, it has the usual settings. Including the option of Maverick to display notifications even if a screen saver is active or the user account is locked. Setting the number of items to display in the column of Notification Center here has another advantage that gives a history of the last songs heard. This history feature exists in iTunes 11, but here you can return to a previous song by simply opening the notifications panel OS X. Following iOS, iTunes Radio arrived in iTunes with this beta in late July.
The principle is broadly similar to iOS 7 that had been described in mid-June. Apple offers first a series of themed resorts. They can be complete with its own stations ("My Stations"), created either from suggestions already made by Apple or after research of artists based in iTunes. Note that among Apple stations, there is that of Twitter, created from the hashtag # music placed in tweets. Adding a personal station through the "+" button. Where other types are selected with their subcategories or it goes in search of the artist preferred. The search for an album is not taken into account. Playing songs of a station is governed by the same constraints as on iOS. You cannot go back on a title, the button that would be replaced by a star of appreciation.
However, a history of the songs heard in this station is stored and used at any time. You can put a piece paused, but not advance a few seconds of listening. We can nevertheless go to the next title, except that the sixth time the jump button is grayed out. It will unlock after a few hours. In the drawer of a station, in addition to the historical, the user can manually designate content will not play. This list also serves as and when listening, when reports that you never want to hear a particular song Other details, each piece displayed in the interface has a button to buy it immediately. The pub is present, for example displaying a jacket and an audio message a few seconds. Subscribers to iTunes Match will be provided. Finally, a button allows the reading preferences of the pieces quite bodied texts and also proposes to limit the advertising tracking, without elaborating. But it should probably play the kind of artists or songs that are displayed during commercial breaks and will no longer be based on your listening habits and musical tastes.
How To Provide Exceptional Care To Clients
A doctor, dentist, or medical facility can improve customer care by hiring a reliable medical answering service. Doctors, dentists and medical personnel don't work 24 h ours a day. When patients call it’s important to have someone that handles the patient with tact, concern, and respect for their privacy. A good medical answering service must be HIPPA compliant. This means they must follow federal regulations that protect medical information of patients when they handle calls for your business, medical facility, or practice.
Staff member of a medical answering service should be trained in the HIPPA regulations and how to handle patients. Often answering services are used for after hours and weekends when doctors, dentists, and other staff are not available. Sometimes a medical answering service can help during the day when a practice is too busy to take all the calls. A good quality answering service helps your business provide excellent customer care.
Another advantage of an answering service is that the patient talks to a real person. Many people hang up when they get an answering machine or recorded message. They do not want to leave a message and wait for a call back. When the patient talks to a real person, they have more confidence that the doctor will get back to them. Routine calls like renewing medications, calling for test results, or setting up an appointment are better when handled by a real person. This is the advantage of using a medical answering service.
When emergencies arise messages will be texted or relayed to the staff person on duty. The doctor of staff member off duty should not be contacted . An answering service can streamline and organize the calls of your medical practice providing good customer care. Staff members with the service should be kind and pleasant to patients. They should be able to handle pressure and emergencies well. When patients deal with a good answering service this builds confidence in the doctor, dentist, or medical facility.
Look for a medical answering service that provides customers with different way to get information. One that lets patients talk to a live person and also has online chat options for those comfortable with the Internet. Some patients prefer the computer to the phone line. Offer bilingual services because often your business has customers that speak another language. The most common language is Spanish and having an answering service that caters to these customers increases the quality of customer care.
A missed call can hurt your patients and the business you run. That is why a good medical answering service is important. Patients often want the request or problem answered immediately that is why a real person helps or someone online that can assist quickly. An answering service relives other staff member of extra duties so they can focus on the patients and their care. It hard for a nurse to answer the phone and take blood samples or vital signs.
An answering service today often takes messages, calls the doctor to discuss emergencies, and even schedule appointments. They train employees to handle calls and patients professionally. They resolve problems efficiently. Patients want to know that the the doctor is available to help so hiring a medical answering service improves your customer service.

The new iOS 7 beta 4
The fourth beta of iOS 7 fixes functional and graphical bugs and brings a few new interfaces. The previous arrows at the top and bottom, of the home screen have been replaced by simple dashes. The presence of the center of notifications and control center is always well marked and there is now no more confusion about the meaning of "slide to unlock". Apple has also added an arrow on the "slide to unlock". The status bar has been expanded from the beta 3 with small cosmetic changes. Apple has yet reviewed the transparency of folders on the home screen and properly aligns the effect of zoom / unzoom. The labels are larger in Maps and sometimes condensed into messages. Gradients of some icons have been softened particularly those of the Mail and Safari and Gmail icon in Mail brought up to date. Apple has also added a few effects here and there for example during a search in Safari and accelerated those already present. The interface has been redesigned Spotlight; the research Reminders borrows the color of the wallpaper; the phone call buttons are meanwhile more square; some elements of the iOS browser have been changed subtle. Icons for AirPlay devices - a screen for video compatible devices, audio devices - have been redesigned. The changes are visible in the camera. HDR button has been moved and the appearance of slightly modified filters. When an application or video fills the screen, you have to make two new gestures to open the Notification Center. This operation, which prevents accidental opening, also applies to the control center too. Finally you can start random playback of all songs by the same artist, without having to go through a playlist or limited to a single album. Numerous developers report on the social networks of apps that did not work with previous beta work with the ß4.
Why Should You Insure Your MacBook?
MacBooks are Apple's version of the laptop. These devices offer plenty of speed and power, combined with sleek looks, to allow you to do everything from play games to create art, surf on the internet, and write up important documents and presentations for your job. When you decide to invest in a MacBook, you are ready to hold onto your device for many years to come and reap the most benefits from it as possible. But what happens when things go wrong? Will your loss be covered?
Anyone who purchases a MacBook should seriously consider investing in an insurance plan. If you are not sure why you would need one for your computer, continue reading to learn the reasons why this is so important.
Laura Ginn is a tech blogger who uses her MacBook for her writing assignments because she can take it wherever she goes, even when she travels. Because she knows how expensive her MacBook was, and how important her work is to her, she insured it to keep her investment safe.
Anyone who purchases a MacBook should seriously consider investing in an insurance plan. If you are not sure why you would need one for your computer, continue reading to learn the reasons why this is so important.
Protecting an Expensive Investment
If you purchase a MacBook for yourself or for a family member, you want to do your best to protect your expensive investment. The only way to really do this is to purchase an insurance plan that will cover a variety of situations in which you would otherwise be responsible for spending money to repair or replace your Apple product.Accidental Damage is Covered
If you accidentally damage your very expensive MacBook by dropping it, for example, or even spilling a beverage onto its keyboard, a good insurance policy will have you covered. The insurer will be able to cover the costs of the repairs or, if the MacBook is too damaged, the insurer will cover the cost of replacing it for you. In this way, you do not lose a lot of time and can get back to work right away.Cracked Screens are Covered
Apple products, despite being so powerful, are surprisingly fragile. The screens on these devices, too, are especially delicate, so you need to take a lot of care to maintain the screen on your MacBook. But, accidents happen that may cause it to become cracked, scratched, or smashed up. While your warranty may not cover the costs of repairing it, your insurance coverage will. So whether you did not properly pack your MacBook for a trip abroad or you accidentally dropped it and caused the screen to break, you can rest easy knowing the costs of repairing it will be covered for you.Theft is Covered
Apple devices are extremely desirable to thieves who resell them on the black market. Some people will not think twice about taking your MacBook from you, and if that were to happen to you, you would lose everything, plus cover the cost of buying a brand new one. But with a policy like Protect Your Bubble MacBook insurance, the costs of getting a new laptop will be covered completely.Breakdowns Are Covered
As computers age, they begin to operate more sluggishly and, eventually, they may even break down, sometimes out of nowhere. If this were to happen to your aged MacBook long after its warranty has expired, a great insurance policy will repair it at no cost to you so you can get it back soon.Laura Ginn is a tech blogger who uses her MacBook for her writing assignments because she can take it wherever she goes, even when she travels. iPhone 5S May have a fingerprint reader!
The future iPhone 5S could integrate a fingerprint reader. This rumor comes from iOS 4 beta 7. The site 9to5Mac found a file called "BiometricKitUI" by downloading the iOS 4 beta 7.Apple has released the latest version of iOS 4 beta 7 to developers last night. Some changes are from the previous version and one of them confirmed the rumors by spotting the code. A biometric reader could equip the future iPhone 5S of Apple brand. According to the latest rumors, the new Smartphone from Apple should be presented in the fall of September or October. Hamza Sood, a developer has identified in the code of iOS 4 beta 7 data suggesting to the next integration of a fingerprint reader in the "Home" button on the Smartphone. Code, after consideration shows that the iPhone user will have to put his thumb on the Home key and imprint will appear in the image and provides access to the Smartphone, instead of a PIN . This code is written in a file named "BiometricKitUI" and a line indicates "fingerprint." The biometric reader is not the back of the device but rather integrated into the Home button. This recognition would drive according to sources close to the case to access the terminal but not necessarily secure payments. It will take an official confirmation of the Apple brand that has at present said nothing about what probable fingerprint reader.

Apple Releases Logic Pro X, MainStage 3
This software is available on the Mac App Store. They are respectively the rates unchanged 180 € and 27 €. They go out accompanied by a free application for iPad Remote Control. The Loop offers a test preview of Logic. The interface evolves into the shadows, like Final Cut Pro X, and it gives better access to controls and instruments. There are also some small changes in design or color icons and positioning libraries. It was also an option to hide the interface and to further the content being worked on. Users less familiar with this application should nevertheless be able to work more easily. This version introduces X Track Stacks to classify and merge multiple tracks into one, or create multi-layered instruments. Assemblies that can be saved and reused at will.
Then there are the Smart Controls to manipulate in one step several plug-ins and settings. Other new features include Drummer, a support tool for drummers including different styles of percussion. It is described at length in a video by Dalrymple. This application is accompanied by a plug-in to assemble their own kits by drawing in a collection of instruments. Apple has also added the feature to adjust Flex Pitch melodies or voice playing each note individually through a waveform. As for MainStage, Apple dresses as a new interface and compatibility with changes in Logic Pro X. Logic Pro Remote allows you to control Logic since its tablet by WiFi. For example, to transform the iPad fretboard, drum pad - as we know it with GarageBand - mixer or transport control. It will need at least iOS 6 and a mini iPad or iPad 2.
Mavericks DP4 integrated with LinkedIn
The fourth version of OS X 10.9 released yesterday, currently it is only reserved for paying developers. The integration of professional social network LinkedIn has been known since from the early versions, but it was not effective before the DP4. After entering the password in System Preferences, you can send a status from Notification Center. The principle is exactly the same as Twitter, Facebook, and iMessage, and even the interface does not change. Incidentally, a fourth icon is added to this place and we would choose the icons whether it should be displayed or not. OS X Mavericks, however, imposes activate all icons sharing, or remove them all. As with other social networks already built into OS X, the integration of LinkedIn is also done in the browser for internet addresses, or by selecting the text and choosing the right option of sharing in the secondary menu.
Another common point is the integration of the address book. Your LinkedIn contacts are automatically retrieved and stored in Contacts with a separate group and the fusion of information for those already present. It can also, in System Preferences, expand its address book with pictures of the profiles on the network. Beyond the integration of LinkedIn, a few more minor changes are noted in the fourth beta. The installation screen has been modified and adopted a very white minimalist interface that is reminiscent of iOS 7. Finally in Mission Control, you can scroll through the office windows using the usual gesture trackpad (three or four fingers to the left or to the right). This is very convenient for you to quickly find the window you are seeking. The self-correcting OS X Mavericks did not change the operation, but it changes slightly on the form. The words are not corrected automatically underlined in blue, but bright green. The goal was to make them more visible, it succeeded.

beneficial features of two way radios. Here are some of the ways that
the employees at these venues are making good use of their
walkie-talkies.
With two way radios, employees working at small baseball or football fields can remain in contact with one another. This can help when visitors are looking for seats to watch the game. One employee with a walkie-talkie in the entrance area of the field can talk to another who is circulating throughout the seating area. He or she can report the number of seats available in a certain section. This helps visitors to the ball field to avoid the frustration of walking around looking for empty seats.
Another place where small sports venues use walkie-talkies is in the concession area. One employee in the concession area with a walkie-talkie can contact another employee who is close to the storage facility. The person can request various items that are running low in the concession stand. Once again, this helps employees to avoid wasting time walking back and forth from storage to the concession area.
Finally, security employees working at the ball field can easily communicate with one another via walkie-talkies. Not surprisingly, security personnel who are in constant contact with one another are able to take care of any disturbances at the ball field in quick, efficient fashion. The motorola rdu2020 two way radios are capable of accomplishing these tasks at a small sports venue.

VLC is back on the App Store
The iOS version of VLC media player is available again after being removed from the App Store in January 2011 due to a compatibility problem with the GPL. This is good news for iOS users; the VLC player is back on the App Store after being removed in January 2011 and by that time, a dispute had arisen between the developers of the open source media player which was published under the GPLv2 license. However, the conditions of use of the App Store in some respects contradicted the terms of such license. As a result, one of the developers had obtained the removal of VLC. Now, VLC 2.0 is released under GPLv2 and MPLv2 (Mozilla Public License) dual license. Incidentally, this new version brings changes in depth, including the management of multi core architecture and the management of all video codecs supported in the version of VLC Desktop. Also on the menu, subtitles and AirPlay compatibility for playback on external displays. VideoLAN also indicated that SDK will arrive later this summer.

Share documents for free with Share Bucket
Another method to quickly share any file is to the drag on the utility icon in the menu bar. Again, a link sharing is generated once it joined the Dropbox. Photo Bucket offers a few simple tools to share content like pen, shapes, text. The highlighter tool and blurring an area are particularly useful. There is a choice of recording format (png, jpeg, tiff, pdf) and the destination is on your Mac, or directly in the share folder. Are absent by cons, functions to crop an image and change its size before recording. This freeware is in English, very simple and easy to use.
Google Chrome 28
In case of any notification alert of an email, a button to reply to the message and call another contact is there. Google is also preparing an API, Media Gallery, which will allow applications using Chrome to import and play files stored on the hard drive. The iTunes library will be the first case covered by this API. It begins to be implemented in the Dev version of Chrome.Since its launch in 2008, the growth of Chrome is impressive. Google has proudly announced at its developers conference that their Chrome was the most popular browser in the world, with 750 million users. The latest statistics from StatCounter prove that is right. The whole American continent is acquired him - except for Greenland. This is also the case in most of Europe and North Africa. However, Internet Explorer is still the majority in China (50% market share), which is no small thing since the Middle Kingdom were at the beginning of the year 567 million users, a figure the exponential growth.
3 Overlooked Ways To Get More Customers
Getting customers to your store or business can be incredibly difficult if you do not know how to go about it. There are a few different ways that everyone gets customers, fliers, online ad campaigns, and even sales are all great ways to attract customers but there are a few different ways that users can find customers that are a bit off the beaten path. These three was to attract customers are sure to set your business apart without trying too hard. Taking the time to consider all the possibilities and a few different ways of improving your business can truly make a difference when it comes to overall success and profitability of your business over time.
- Update your answering service: though many companies have little more than a single person in front of a phone as their answering service, it is far more beneficial for companies to hire either a professional service or to purchase an answering system that can help make their customer service far better. The last thing that anyone wants to do is sit and wait for the phone to pick up or for a representative to answer, with a proper answering service customers can get their concerns voiced quickly and easily without having to spend tons of time on hold or without leaving messages that go unanswered. If a company has a good way for customers to contact it will be much easier for new customers to believe in the company.
- Do not underestimate word of mouth: for those business owners that do not think they need to keep up a good reputation for one reason or another, word of mouth can make or break a company quickly. With the right reputation a business can go from barely known to world class. For example, if customers know they can contact the company at any time and be listened to, they will likely tell other users about their experience thus building up the reputation of the company. This can help to create a positive image where there may have not been one or where there was one that had been damaged. Word of mouth spreads fast and with the right word of mouth, customers can make or break a company and can bring in tons of new customers or even bring back customers that had once been present but that left.
- Listen to your customers: even if they are complaining and talking about how horrible your business is, taking the time to listen to customers either through an answering service or simply through the comments that they leave, business owners can quickly learn about their customer base by simply listening to what they have to say when they say it. With the proper answering service companies can record and keep conversations for future use and perusal to help make listening to what customers have to say far easier and faster. Listening to customers can make them feel important and may even lead to some new ideas.
Taking the time to consider what is being said and done by your customers is the easiest way to increase business. With the right answering service customers feel like they are being listened to and that their opinion matters which makes for a much better experience overall and makes for a much better customer base. With the right information anyone can increase and improve their business without much time or effort. Though expensive upgrades can help to increase business, they may also break the bank making it hard to make a profit or to continue to fix and improve your business model.

How to Improve Productivity for Your Business
You can increase your business' productivity by making just a few small changes in how you think about your business. An answering service, for example, can improve the productivity and profitability of your business. By taking the burden of answering calls off of your team, you can free up their time so that they can spend more time with customers, clients or patients. Other steps to improving productivity in your office or small business include documenting systems and common procedures, delegating tasks, improving training and listening to customers and staff.
Five Tips for Improving Business Productivity
1. Use an answering service to screen and direct calls. An answering service can help you screen and direct important calls 24/7. Instead of letting an impersonal voice mail system receive the call, a personal answering service functions as an intelligent extension of your business. You won't have to check your voice mail periodically but can instead rely upon a trained virtual phone 'assistant' to screen your calls and forward any urgent messages to you, while simultaneously providing a personal response to customer inquiries. In today's automated world, personal interactions with an answering service representative are a mark of distinction and differentiation for the small business, one which your customers are likely to remember positively.
2. Document systems. Most businesses excel at reinventing the wheel. A great deal of time and money is wasted recreating processes and procedures that have already proven effective in your business. Whether it's a system to order office supplies or update your company's website, having written systems, processes and procedures can greatly improve productivity. Just make sure that your entire staff knows where to find the documented systems and processes, or else your team will continue to spend fruitless hours trying to figure out how to find a service technician for the photocopier, request a new office chair, book car service for the CEO or whatever other systems are needed.
3. Delegate tasks. How much of your day is spent answering emails, responding to customer inquiries, or filing papers? Delegate, delegate, delegate! To determine which tasks you can delegate, note your daily tasks and what takes up the most time. If it is a repetitive task, and one which does not require your particular unique skill set, it may be a perfect task to delegate to another employee. If you don't have someone with enough time to tackle the task, consider hiring a virtual assistant for tasks that can be completed online, or an answering service to handle phone calls. Freeing up your time from completing tedious and repetitive tasks enables you to work on more interesting, creating and challenging projects - hopefully those that will add more income to your business' bottom line.
4. Improve training. Productive and profitable workplaces train their employees in the tasks expected of them. Make sure your employees are trained to do their jobs. This may include training on the use of computer systems, training on how you want your telephones answered or customers greeted, or product-specific training so that they're well versed on the intricacies of what your business sells. A productive, profitable business is one in which the entire team is on the same page and able to convey consist information to customers, and that starts with training.
5. Listen and learn. Productivity means saving time, but it can also mean improving your overall business. Your team may have suggestions - listen and learn from them. Solicit their input into areas to improve productivity.
With these five tips, you can start today to improve your business' productivity, and potentially, its profitability, too.

Japan planning to broadcast streaming video 4K HEVC / H.265
Japan has tested broadcasting 4K streaming programs. 4K TVs are starting to appear in stores, but the 4K may not really take off in public until TV shows are available in 4K. For now, the 4K contents are very rare. Sony has announced this summer a Media Player 4K FMP-X1 containing 10 hits Hollywood 4K preinstalled and a service this fall to rent or buy movies via internet 4K Video Unlimited. Sony also announced that his future PS4 would be able to read HEVC/H.265 videos. Yet the consumer electronics manufacturers have not started to offer 4K TV models so for and even after the announcements of last year. The proposed Sony 84-inch 4K TV price is set at $ 25,000 and the prices seem to go down a little more realistic levels. Whatever (digital satellite, terrestrial, cable, or via the Internet by IP) be the broadcasting system, the bandwidth is a major problem with ultra-high resolution images with a resolution 4K or even 8K (7680 x 4320 pixels). Just to 4K, with a four times greater than high definition "standard" size, current technologies encoding are no longer valid. Five minutes 8K uncompressed video can occupy 1TB of storage space. At the beginning of the year, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has approved the MPEG-H HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding), also known under the name of H.265. It offers more effective than the current four times H.264 compression, reducing bandwidth by half without degrading the image more than that does in MPEG-2 H.264 system.
The TV channels around the world seem to look more and more like a business model that would see the broadcasts through the Net instead, or in addition, a radio broadcast. The current flows internet connections are unable to display 4K video in real time. But streaming solutions of these programs are being put in place. Telco Japanese leading company conducted tests on 4K video streams streamed via the Internet, using an encoding HEVC/H.265 end to end. The set-top box to the user unpacks the videos before posting them on a 4K TV. Japan also announced it would be the first country to offer 4K satellite images in 2014 for the World Cup football. Another piece in the puzzle of the dissemination of high definition TV programs that is taking place gradually, NHK, very present on the front of the high definition 4K or 8K, Japan called Super Hi-Vision, presented an 8K encoder developed with Mitsubishi. It uses a parallel architecture to achieve compress images quickly enough. It divides each frame into 17 bands of 7680 x 256 pixels to compress more efficiently. The area at the juncture of two bands is used by both (they share information-speed and direction-for animated objects) to avoid image degradation in border areas. The decoder works in real time at 60 Hz. The two companies are working on a new faster version, 120 Hz, the rate of the "Super Hi-Vision" Japanese. Japan in July 2014 begin broadcasting NHK 4K, and from 2016 to 8K. At first, the broadcast will take place via satellite. The side of the portable terminal as the HVEC/H.265 codec begins to point the tip of his nose. Earlier this year, NTT Docomo announced a HEVC software solution for its Android Smartphones. The CPU of Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 also decompresses video H.265. The Samsung Galaxy S4 is capable of displaying HEVC/H.265 videos.
Changes in iOS 7 Beta 3
Apple released recently the third beta version of iOS 7. Still reserved for developers, this new version includes a lot of new, both in the interface functions. From version to version, Apple refines the interface of its new mobile system, but did not alter the main new iOS 7. Moreover, the icons that have been talked about as they have not changed; the new features of this third beta are much more subtle and related policies or levels of transparency. On the Lock screen, the status bar has been slightly enlarged and the information at the top of the screen is slightly larger. However, the arrows at the top and bottom are still present, although they are often problematic. Once unlocked iPhone, we note that the files have a transparent background as before. It's subtle, but the background is easier to see the screen on the back as before with the third beta.
Moreover, Apple has also changed the font here and there. In the Weather app; same principle is followed and in the Notification Center; the screen that displays your day right with a smaller font.
iOS 7 is having slightly thicker fonts from now. This is evident in the list of options here as in Mail or in the list of notifications. The new basic policy iOS 7 is coarser than before. When an application is being downloaded, it is no longer entitled to the right bar of iOS 6. Apple's new system now has a dark first round, which is becoming increasingly transparent as and when loading and installation. When the operation is complete, the icon appears completely. Among the subtle changes that can be noted, Spotlight now appears in a slip and not a transparent effect. It also identifies some losses: the effect of transparency in key calculator (it has always been in the Phone application) or the animated for charging in the status bar icon.
The Music application evolves in small steps with new icons at the bottom and adjustments elsewhere in the positioning of text or icons. The song playing is now indicated by an icon that symbolizes the music going with a three-bar graphic. The biggest innovation, however, is probably the return of stars that can record their songs. Totally absent from the previous two betas, they make a remarkable comeback. To view them, just a tap on the song name and it is replaced with the traditional five locations that can record the song in question. iOS 7 Beta 3 is equally capable of displaying notes already present than to put new.
Alongside music, Apple has a priority to fix bugs Podcasts and application work properly now. With this beta, you must again activate synchronization with iCloud keychain. Apple states that the function is not compatible with previous betas, or with OS X 10.9 DP2. About this feature, iOS 7 now proposes to add a credit card from the Safari settings. To activate the bunch iCloud requires a security code. We can now record a credit card in the settings of Safari. On the month view, calendar iOS reappears when one day a bubble is composed of at least one appointment. The bubble does not vary depending on the timing involved, or the number of events, so that the information is not really useful.
In the Contacts view, the search box is permanently displayed at the top of the list. It is convenient to search for a particular contact without having to go top of the screen. This revised view is also present in the phone application. The tablets are also entitled to some adjustments with the third beta. The mini iPad benefits most from this third beta. On the other hand it is now fine fonts are best suited to its non-Retina display. Another significant innovation is the best small tablet displays applications that have not been optimized for the iPad. Specifically, the text is not as pixilated, if not Retina, obviously. On the iPad, iOS beta 7 seems to finally gain both in terms of speed and stability. That makes sense; Apple began with the iPhone, before looking at the tablet. Siri is entitled to new voices: no big changes, but they are more pleasing to the ear with the third beta. Recall iOS 7 lets you choose between a male voice and one female. The voice assistant also gained some speed with this beta.
The keyboard has been slightly modified with iOS 7 Beta 3. When it is present, it cannot display the control center which usually with a slip from the bottom shows. This change is useful to use the drag gesture of the "123" button to get a number or special character quickly. The keyboard has also been changed in mobile Safari. The key that was used to add a "Uk" next to the space bar no longer displays one point. It takes a tap maintained to quickly complete a domain name, but this change also captures simply points within domain names. This is undoubtedly more convenient, especially the space bar has more space. About Safari, the browser finds a full screen on the iPhone mode. In landscape mode, both scroll bars disappear when leaving any room for the content. Based on early returns, iOS 7 is faster on the iPhone 4 and even though it is still not as smooth as with iOS 6, users of this model can apparently finally enjoy every day.

MacBook Air in 2013
The screen size is now more than ever a key factor in choosing a MacBook Air, since all are of equal configuration, it is not quite the same thing with an 11-inch MacBook Air and a MacBook Air 13 inches. The 11-inch MacBook Air is obviously more mobile, smaller and lighter than 13 inches. Its screen has a higher than the MacBook Pro 13-inch (1366 x 768 px) definition, but its 16:9 aspect ratio is a bit narrow in height. It is a little less comfortable and first made for the road with eight hours of battery life. However, do not forget that you can connect a MacBook Air to an external display (Thunderbolt / DisplayPort or HDMI / DVI / VGA via adapter). The MacBook Air 13-inch is a little more traditional: a full size keyboard and trackpad are as comfortable as those of the MacBook Pro. And a screen 1440 x 900 pixel is defined as the 13-inch MacBook Pro! It is a machine and all terrain use. It actually takes the place of the iBook or MacBook in the role of the machine quite capable, but no frills, at a reasonable price and with exceptional battery life of 12 hours.
While most of the MacBook Pro and iMac come with 8 GB of RAM, the MacBook Air comes with 4 GB of RAM. Apple sells its very expensive RAM, but you have no choice but to buy from it: the MacBook Air RAM modules are welded. Maybe if your budget is limited, choose staffing memory than storage. The SSD MacBook Air anyway narrow and require the use of external storage, so as to make the most economical choice and more beneficial in the long term. Again, you can never increase the RAM of the MacBook Air, then you will have no trouble to change his cap SSD or to add an external drive. Some probably expect Apple may finally decide to build the MacBook Air with a Retina display. It is true that the integrated graphics solutions make anything possible today, but this time Apple has special autonomy (up) and the price (down). Furthermore, the Retina large screens still suffer from problems of production and quality that still differs a little MacBook Air.

More about Firefox 22
Both swapping files and Internet telephony are nothing new in Mozilla or Google. But instead, for example, specially having to install Skype for video chat, the chat with friends (theoretically) works on any PC that can be found on the Firefox or Chrome. To use the technique; yet still lacking the appropriate applications in most of the web browsers. While there are a number of sites in the network for testing the function - such as AppRTC for video calling - for everyday use which are not. With the Talkilla Mozilla though operates on a promising project for the integration of functions and user interface - however, this ambitious project is still at a very early stage of development.
Mozilla's announcement of third-party cookies from Firefox to disable 22 by default, made primarily in the advertising industry for abdominal pain. Despite heavy criticism from the industry Mozilla is sticking to the blockade of third-party cookies, but his plan must be delayed because of technical problems. To see the menu under Privacy, although the option to reject third party cookies always, after installing Firefox 22 but this is not automatically enabled. The third major new feature of Firefox 22 refers to the faster execution of JavaScript code and listens to the name OdinMonkey. Thanks to this optimization module, the calculation of complex pages will henceforth succeed much faster. To demonstrate the efficiency of the technique, Mozilla has made the 3D games famous Unreal Engine 3 packed in collaboration with Epic Games in the browser. In the future, should be implemented as well as graphically demanding games in Firefox. Check the speed of websites show the technical changes of Mozilla effect. Especially in heavy SunSpider JavaScript test makes the new version of Firefox in comparison to its predecessor a strong push forward. However, despite all efforts, Chrome remains the unchallenged speed Primus.
In addition to several new features for web developers Firefox gets 22 HiDPI support donated for web pages to be displayed more sharply on high-resolution screens. Using the newly added "Web Notifications" interface can now also display notifications like incoming e-mails in the Firefox browser. In the Add-ons Manager can henceforth manage the social services. Users with Mac OS X get your download progress in the dock icon appears at the top right.
Know more about OS X Mavericks -2
Other highly anticipated features that helps more to the new users: better management of configurations with multiple screens. Until then, OS X was bad enough when we plugged a (second) screen to your Mac. The most glaring example was the full screen introduced with OS X Lion and required to have the same application on any screen mode. OS X Mavericks profoundly modifies the operation and offers a much more powerful solution, but probably more complex. The idea is to bring autonomy to each of the screens that you use: there is the menu bar on all screens and you can place applications in full screen on one monitor, but especially on any monitor. Specifically, you can now organize your windows as you want and simply work in OS X Mavericks. In this example, when writing an article, therefore, we have a compose window and a browser window on the right, a preview window, the corrector and Twitter on the left.
You receive an email? You can use Mission Control directly or trackpad gestures to change only the left screen. The right one is writing mode, the time to respond to email received. A gesture later, you will find the previous virtual desktop, one that allows a glimpse of the current document and correction.
Since it refers to the full screen mode, we regret that this release is not more evolved Mail application. The edit window is modal in part: it blocks the entire interface when writing a new message or a reply from the application, but if you create a mail from another program, the window is placed over another screen.
In theory, OS X Mavericks is supposed to remove any notion of primary or secondary display. Apple's new system has to guess that you are using at any given time and place the dock, knowing that the menu bar is constantly present. In fact, this operation does not seem to develop and can still be found in the System Preferences option available which allows you to choose the main screen. Last, Apple also supports these new options available for Apple TV. AirPlay can be used for a presentation on a television screen while using the Mac on.
Apple's browser has received some significant new features, but they do not apply to all OS X Mavericks. The new version of Safari is offered to remain with Lion and Mountain Lion and you can find the main news item in that other user: Small new Safari 6.1. In Apple's new system, the browser is Safari 7 and not 6.1. The change is not only symbolic, even if the interface has few differences, are important internal changes between the two versions. OS X 10.9, Safari and finally adopts the separation process for tabs. As in Chrome, for example, each open tab is a process, which should both accelerate and stabilize the browser. In case of problem on a tab, the browser will simply interrupt the matching process and avoid the complete crash. Apple ahead of many figures to prove that the browser is faster: from what we could tell, Safari is better than before and the gain is sensitive. This is especially the case on a Mac with Retina display, the computer that was just on the point with OS X 10.8.

Three Entry Points for Cross-Site Scripting
Cross-site scripting (XSS) can be more of an annoyance than a serious threat in some instances. However, there are circumstances where XSS is used for malicious purposes, where hackers may easily exploit your information and wreak havoc. This can be especially dangerous to your sensitive data if your website contains vulnerabilities that welcome exploits.
According to a report by Symantec, 84 percent of the security vulnerabilities documented by this security expert were attributed to XSS committed on websites in 2007. It has been concluded that at least 68 percent of existing websites for that year were vulnerable to XSS attacks.
It is good practice for developers and testers to be fully aware of the possibility that every one of your data entry points could be targeted for an XSS attack. Web applications are at high risk for malicious actions committed through the:
- Hijacking of user accounts
- Access to sensitive data and ability to modify that data
- Bypassing of controls for access
- Presentation of fraudulent content
The Most Common Entry Point
Session cookies are the most common way that XSS is used to exploit user information. A session cookie is used to store the user’s identity while logged into a website. If another site is opened while logged into the first website and XSS is present, the second website could hijack the session cookie from the first. The hijacker would be able to use the session cookie in their browser, in addition to using the information to impersonate the user on the initial website. Depending upon the nature of the first website that the session cookie has been hijacked from, the results could be very damaging.
Examples include:
- If the user is logged into a banking website, the hacker could use the session cookie to impersonate the user and conduct transactions that will remove cash from the user’s bank account.
- Banking information can be accessed from shopping sites and allow the hacker to make purchases with that information.
Additional XSS Entry Points for Web Applications
Forms. Web forms such as login forms, if improperly coded can be vulnerable to XSS. If the hacker takes advantage of this vulnerability and injects a script into the login form, the script will send them the user’s password—allowing hackers access to the user’s account where changes or purchases could be made.
Examples include:
- If a login form is compromised for a shopping website, a hacker could then impersonate the user and make purchases using whatever pre-stored means of payment are entered into the account.
- With so many users neglecting to follow the best practices with password security, the hacker could potentially access many different websites just by assuming that the credentials for each are the same.
URLs. If a hacker sends an email to a user with what appears to be a legitimate URL, could infact be a malicious script that is embedded within the URL. Once the user has been lured to the legitimate site, they log in and the script sends the session cookie to the hacker.
Examples include:
- An attack such as this can also be attributed to postings on social networking websites. The hacker could post a message with XSS code hidden within it. An unsuspecting user clicks on the URL and their information is sent to the hacker who can then steal their credentials and make changes to their account.
- The hacker could impersonate the user and post messages on social network websites that are malicious in nature, possibly resulting in the user being banned from the website
Best Ways to Avoid XSS Attacks
By identifying vulnerabilities for XSS attacks on your websites, you are taking the first step toward preventing and mitigating the problems that could result. Developers can reduce their risk of XSS attacks by adopting the following practices:
- Validating output by sanitizing data HTML encoding to eliminate malicious characters.
- Avoiding inserting user-controlled data in script code and reducing the amount of allowed HTML.
- Using server-side validation to detect request containing malicious exploits.
XSS is more common than many users realize, with vulnerabilities discovered even across major brands. Developers using sound XSS practices and thoroughly testing for vulnerabilities save end users from the potentially devastating effects of an attack via XSS.

Know more about OS X Mavericks -1
You can also open a folder in a new tab using the secondary click: a new item appears in the Finder's contextual menu. As always in a browser, you can double-click a folder while holding down ⌘ supported and the file is displayed in a new tab. The Finder OS X 10.9 also features all the functions of management tabs ⇥ ctrl ctrl ⇧ ⇥ display the next and previous tabs, you can drag a tab out of the current window to create a new window, move tabs within the window or windows merge all with a single tab. Secondary click on the dedicated area displays unsurprisingly other options to close all other tabs except the current one.
Another new Finder Version 10.9, these are the keywords. It is not so much a new function, as a new interface for something that has long existed in OS X, but was rarely used. Until then, Apple talked about labels, OS X Mavericks employs him the English word 'Tags'. The principle is the same: you can assign to each folder or file a keyword and a color option and the system then gives you several options to find all the elements associated with the same keyword. By default, OS X creates Mavericks seven tags for all colors. They are also just named according to the color, but nothing prevents you from changing the names and colors of the keywords in the Finder preferences. Thereafter, you can attach a tag to a file or folder using the context menu, to the new icon in the Finder toolbar (below) or by dragging and dropping the element in the sidebar. Through the icon, you can also create a new tag.
The Finder sidebar already contained fast access to some records, the machines on the network and local volumes, it gets the tags. You can drag items on a tag to associate with him, they said, but this presentation can also display all the items associated with a particular keyword. The research will support these tags, but this feature does not seem active in the first OS X beta Mavericks. What works however, is the integration of tags directly in dialogs applications. Example here in a text editor that does a field "tags" between the file name and its position in the storage volume. This field is used both to select an existing tag to create a new one. Last point can be noted, the management area dedicated to iCloud in each software also integrates keywords and has an additional button at the bottom to add. As throughout the Finder, the color is more discreet, it no longer appears as a point. Incidentally, the views put now lists the column names forward, others are grayed out.
7 Most Useful Web Browser Functions for Web and Graphic Designers
Both web designers and graphic designers rely on browsers not only to find and source information, files and ideas, but to test their designs in real-world settings to ensure maximum functionality for users. Usability is one of the most essential aspects of web design—after all, if users have a difficult time navigating or loading a site, they’re likely to bounce. Fortunately, today’s browsers offer some advanced features useful for both web and graphics professionals.
1. Drag-and-Drop Search
You know what you’re looking for when you browse the web, or you at least have a general idea. Spending extra time to open a new search tab and type in what you’re looking for isn’t an efficient use of your resources. That’s why browsers with drag-and-drop search functionality are ideal for graphic designers. Find something you want to know more about on one site, and simply drag and drop links, words and even photos to relevant titles to find what you’re looking for without wasting a second.
2. Torrent Capabilities
When you’re searching for a source file online, such as an open-source software application, you don’t have a lot of time to downloading files. Browsers with built-in torrent capabilities make downloading photos, videos, and other files a breeze. With a built-in torrent, you can manage your downloads from directly within your browser—no need to utilize a separate download application.
3. Speedy Downloading
A built-in torrent is great, but not ideal if it’s not any faster than standard downloading practices. Don’t waste your precious time waiting for endless downloads. Choose a browser with accelerated download speeds so you can stay on task instead of frustratingly tapping your fingers on the mouse while you wait.
4. Easy Media-Grabbing Capabilities
Web designers are often grabbing media from the ‘net. Embedding videos from other sources is pretty commonplace in today’s rich media Internet environment, both on standard websites among social media. Designers are tasked with sourcing media, re-vamping it when necessary and appropriate, reformatting it for compatibility and embedding those files online. The whole process can take quite a bit of time. Browsers with media-grabbing capabilities make the job of designers much simpler, enabling them to pull media files from the web with a simple click.
5. Seamless Sharing Functionality
While social sharing isn’t necessarily a core component of a web or graphic designer’s job, these professionals like to interact with their social networks just as much as anyone. In the course of a day’s work, you might come across dozens of articles you find interesting and want to read later—or just something you feel is worthy of a share. Instead of letting distraction take you from the task at hand, a browser with built-in social sharing features lets you share the content you find most intriguing without taking you into full distraction mode.
6. Easy Bookmarking
Bookmarking is a pretty commonplace browser function, but some are more usable than others with streamlined organization capabilities. Graphic and web designers rely on a variety of resources online, including blogs with coding shortcuts, tutorials and other information that helps you create the best results for your clients or your employer. Browsers with functional, easy-to-use and easy-to-navigate bookmarking functions make the task of organizing all those favorite resources much simpler.
7. Maximum Browsing Security
As a web or graphic designer, you likely have access to pertinent data about your clients. Whether that means top-secret branding initiatives or financial payment data, you don’t want any of that information to leak into the wrong hands. That’s why a top-notch browser with maximum security is critical—not just for you, but for your clients and your reputation.
Web and graphic designers love technology. Modern web browsers provide advanced functionality that benefits tech-savvy career professionals. Browser functions serve to both streamline job functions and to satisfy the tech lover’s lifestyle demands.

With the tool of self-seeking PeaceKeeper much the processor test, the gap is much larger: 5 hours 45 minutes for the standard model against four hours and 35 minutes for the model with Core i7. A score may seem disappointing, but this configuration is still an hour more than any 13" laptop released last year. Regarding performance, the gap is larger than the range in 2012. With house system Macworld performance, the MacBook Air Core i7 2013 1.7 GHz scored 204, against 166 for the Core i5 MacBook Air (2012 and 2013). The MacBook Air Core i7 2012 had a score of 187. The difference is significant. Note that it is also more powerful than the Retina MacBook Pro 13 "revived in the early days of the year.
This difference is explained by the fact that the processor is more powerful, but also that the frequency difference is greater between the Core i7 and Core i5. If we are to believe the battery of tests conducted, the difference is mostly felt when testing with Aperture, VMware and CineBench. At first glance, the choice is pretty simple. If the list of applications that you use frequently, you have none of CPU intensive, so take your sights on the Core i5 to make the most of the autonomy of Apple's ultra-portable. If, against, you occasionally need power, the Core i7 is more than ever an option to consider.
