iPadOS 14 Introduces New Features Specifically for iPad

iPadOS 14
iPadOS 14 may have a lot of the same features brought forth in iOS 14 but it does come with something of it’s own as well. Some of the features in iPadOS 14 that are similar to iOS 14 are new widgets and upgrades to Siri. But besides all this, the new iPadOS has something up its sleeves yet that makes it worth the wait. Among those changes are multi window support for Apple music and a Low power mode option, which is something that will come for the first time to an iPad. While iPadOS 14 does have some new and significant features, it also lacks out on some new features which iOS 14 brings to iPhones. More on this in a bit…

Multi Widows Support for Apple Music brought to you by- iPadOS 14:

Multi window support may not be all together new when it comes to the iPad. It first came out with iPadOS 13. Multi window support allows you to open up multiple versions of the same app. For example you can open two or more safari browsers separately.

Now to bring something new to the menu, Apple has added multi window support for the music application as well. While it may not be the most useful thing on the planet, you can still open up two or more music applications at the same time. Plus it does bring with it several new options that you could try out.

One way of using this new feature to your advantage is to open up live lyrics in one application while on the other you can browse Apple Music. Another way you can use this new feature is by keeping the now playing tab always open at the side while you do whatever it is that needs doing.

Besides a multi window option for Apple music there are also a number of changes and new features that you can see with the application itself.

Low Power Mode on iPadOS 14:

Low power mode has been with the iPhone for years now. With iPadOS 14 it marks the first time when an iPad gets the low power mode option. With low power mode on you can prevent battery drain as your iPad will disable things that run in the background such as email fetch, Hey Siri as well as some visual effects.

To enable low power mode on the iPhone you simply have to go to the settings app and then power mode. However in iPadOS 14 there is no such option of going to the settings page. To enable the feature you simply have to access it via Siri. Since you have to access low power mode through Siri, the feature does not disable it but disables things such as Auto lock and background app refresh.

No emoji search with iPadOS 14:

Another welcome and highly anticipated feature with iOS 14 is an emoji search. By clicking on the emoji option in the keyboard you get a search field that appears above. With iPadOS 14 however there is no such feature as yet.

New iPhone 12 come with a new Design

New iPhone 12 come with a new Design
A radical design change, flat edges and an Apple iPad Pro type design- the new iPhone 12 could have it all. Apparently recently photos of what could possibly be the new iPhone 12 have emerged. These photos were apparently spotted on Twitter and have been leaked by a Twitter user @Jin_Store. The pictures show molds that would be given to potential iPhone case manufacturers for the new iPhone 12.

More on the Leaked Images of the new iPhone 12:

The photos contain enough to show you just what the new iPhone could apparently look like. Three phone molds of varying screen sizes are photographed in the picture. The molds also show features that are in line with rumors given about the iPhone 12 in the past, well at least some of them.

Another major draw of such pictures was that they showed the alleged iPhone 12 mold to come in with flat edges. Flat edges are normally seen on the iPad pro. This could mean that the new iPhone 12 could seriously look much different from current models.

As per the pictures, the iPhone 12 could come in 4 varieties- a 5.4inch sized model, a 6.1inch model , a 6.1inch pro variant and a 6.7inch pro max model too.

More on the Design element of  New iPhone:

All the images show pretty much the same thing, with the volume and silence buttons on the left hand side. Besides that, a button on the right and a single camera setup sitting at the back.

Newer pictures reveal a notch kind of set up at the front which apparently will house Apple’s TrueDepth Camera. This is more in line with what current iPhone models have at present.

More on the Flat edges on the iPhone 12 now:

Rumor has it that the new flat edges sitting around the iPhone 12 could come with an antenna band. This is similar to what the iPhone 4 has. The new leaked images of iPhone 12 that have come have disproved what rumor mongers have said in the past- that iPhone 12 could have a iPhone X like design. Still other rumors have said that Apple’s new iPhone could also come with an all screen display as well as a notch to hold the new Face ID mechanism.

Other Features to be Expected on the iPhone 12:

The new iPhone 12 is also pegged to have a 120Hz promotion display, but alas this may only feature on the pro variants of the phone. The promotion feature will also have the ability to switch between 60Hz and 120Hz as the need arises.

Some of the other changes also have to do with the notch being smaller. Rumors also have it that the smaller notch could be because of a shrinking down in size of the Face ID sensor. This would also be great as it would mean larger screen real estate. Apparently a wider angle lens is also to be included in the notch in order to grab the face from different angles.

WWDC20: It’s that Time of the year Again

WWDC20
The Cupertino based tech giant has recently announced the schedule for the long awaited WWDC20. Plus there’s also a special keynote planned, that’s worth taking a look at. There are even talks that Apple will ditch their Intel chips for new ARM based Macs. This will be a first in decade in which Apple takes such a step.

What to Expect From WWDC20?

In a first of its kind, this year’s Apple event will be totally digital. This we know is on account of what. On Wednesday Apple released the schedule for its first only digital event. The WWDC20 will kick start on the 22nd of June. The event will begin with a keynote, Of course, besides others.

The other itinerary for the day includes Platforms of the Union, all new developer forums, 100 and more engineering sessions, one to one labs with Apple engineers and much more.

Where can You watch Apple WWDC20?

In a press statement released by Apple, the keynote address scheduled for June 22, will take place at 10am PT. You can watch the event live from the Apple website or the Apple developer app or YouTube or the Apple TV app. The keynote address will be streamed live directly from Apple Park.

After the keynote address, The Cupertino based company will conduct its annual Platform State of Union address. This event unlike the one above can be watched form the Apple developer website or the Apple developer app and on demand.

Besides all this you can also watch a 100 plus engineering sessions and all new developer forums, curtesy of Apple, all of which are scheduled to take place later in the day.

What to look out for at WWDC 2020?

Typically Apple unveils the latest and greatest it has in the form of iOS, WatchOS, iPadOS, MacOS, the likes of which power macs, iPhones, iPads and of course the Apple watch.

Although the WWDC event is mostly focused on software and its associated updates, Apple hasn’t shied away in the past from releasing new hardware too. In 2019, Apple announced the latest Mac pro. So it’s quite possible that we could see new gadgets in the form of a new iMac and an updated Apple TV.

Also to counteract the competition, namely from the likes of Bose and Sony, Apple may also release a new pair of over the ear headphones. The new over the ear headphones will likely be upwards of $350 and may be called AirPods Studio.

Last but not the least Apple also plans on shedding its Intel chips for ARM based ones to sit under the hood of its Macs. This will be a first for the tech giant in over a decade.

Apple’s WWDC20 will stream from 22 June to 26 June. The keynote address will also be available on playback on demand after the event. The engineering sessions are geared towards guiding app developers, in well, app development, focusing on technical and design elements. Apple will also release videos of these sessions every day.

New Tycoon Ransomware Targets Windows and Linux Systems

Tycoon Ransomware
Security experts have recently come across a new ransomware that targets Linux and Windows systems. The ransomware called Tycoon ransomware, targets systems across a number of industries. Researchers up at BlackBerry Research and Intelligence Team and KPMG’s UK cyber response services have given the name Tycoon ransomware after discovering it. According to them, this particular strain of malware is affecting SMBs in the software industry and educational institutions alike. What makes this malware even more potent is that it affects not only one system but two- Linux as well as Windows. These are the two commonly used systems across the globe.

More on Tycoon ransomware:

The team further discovered that the malware has to be manually deployed with the malignant persons targeting individual systems as well as connecting to an RDP server. After this, the said person infiltrates using local credentials. After securing access to the system, the person then begins to uninstall any antivirus that may be on the system. Shortly afterwards, a application called ProcessHacker is installed.

What does Tycoon ransomware do?

Once Tycoon Ransomware has been installed onto a system, it begins to encrypt files from the server. Then a ransom is sort from the said victim. According to experts the ransomware targets both Linux and Windows meaning the attack is quite widespread.

The experts up at BlackBerry have also said that it is common for malware writers to use obscure coding and languages to fly under the radar. That is why the use of Java and Go is common with malware writers. But this is the first time they have encountered a malware that takes advantage of Java JIMAGE format to create a JRE build.

The JRE Build:

Tycoon ransomware comes in the format of a trojanized Java Runtime Environment or JRE for short. This helps the ransomware to avoid detection by piggy backing on a Java Image format. The settings for this java Image are deliberately put in settings to give developers the option of debugging their software. To do this they would first have to install a debugging application. This is how malware writers gain access to a particular system.

How far has Tycoon ransomware reached?

Experts in the field have said that the malware has been in existence for six months now. But the number of attacks have been small. This shows that the attacks are specifically targeted. Besides this it also shows that the malware writers are working on different ways of targeting a host system, in order to see which method works the best.

Why the Name Tycoon?

The ransomware was called “Tycoon” after discovering various references in the coding to the word Tycoon. The ransomware has been in existence since 2019 and has specific targets in mind.

The fact that malware writers have used Java and JRE to piggy back onto systems is very unusual. Experts have seldom seen such a method. Besides gaining access to a system, malware writers also seek to remove any existing antivirus on the system.

Check for updates in fixing your iPhone face ID not working:

To make sure that your face ID feature not working is not a software issue, check to see if you are updated. You can do so by checking the settings on your iPhone.

A little word of advice before updating your phone is to make sure you back up data to iTunes or iCloud as you don’t want to lose any files if the update does not work out properly.

Second-Generation iPhone SE: Powerful New Phone in Popular Design

Second-Generation iPhone SE
Recently Apple released its new second-generation iPhone SE. Well the specs are easy enough- 8 body, iPhone 11’s processor and the iPhone XR camera system. Add to all this a few new capabilities and you have Apple’s new iPhone at your disposal. What’s more that’s not even the best part yet. You get all this and more for just $399. That is awesomely good thinking about what you’re getting and who you’re dealing with here. Let’s talk specs here a bit to see what you’re really getting…

Processor on the second-generation iPhone SE:

The first thing you need to take a look at when it comes to this phone is the powerful juice its packing. The second-generation iPhone SE comes with an A13 processor, which is hands down the best processor a phone could have, period.

Let’s say you have a lot of dough on you and can afford the $1,499 price tag on the iPhone 11 pro max, the iPhone SE costing only $399 would still beat it down in the power department.

Not only this, but Apple is a company known to support its phones for a long time to come. So with an A13 processor on board, you’re likely to get software updates for years to come. Thus guaranteeing you more than your money’s worth with this phone.

Talk about storage:

Apple has made the base level start at 64GB, while by paying $50 you bump up the storage to 128GB.

Look and Feel of the second-generation iPhone SE:

As mentioned earlier the new iPhone SE looks much like what iPhone 8 looked like. The new second-generation iPhone SE is termed as a parts bin phone. That means it is made from old parts lying around in Apple’s storage. Well this isn’t really something to complain about, if the parts are all still good and the phone functions well.

The sad part about this iPhone is that it does not come with a headphone jack. Yes we know that this isn’t something they normally include these days, but it’s still sorely missing out. With no headphone jack comes an extra price to pay for Bluetooth headphones and another thing to charge being involved.

Camera setup on the Second-Generation iPhone SE:

The new iPhone SE comes with a single camera setup rather than the dual setup that goes on most premium phones these days. However the second-generation iPhone SE does come with portrait mode and is resistant to a certain degree from the elements.

As for colors the new iPhone SE comes in three of them beginning with white, black and a “Product” red whatever that is.

New Budget iPhone?

After years of releasing four figure price tag iPhones. Apple finally decided to release a second generation iPhone SE which is pegged to be a budget phone depending on where you’re buying it. Say for example if you happen to be in India, this so called budget phone would cost you around Rupees 42,500, which compares with most premium phones in the country.

Amid The novel Corona virus and isolation, Apple brings you the all new iPad Pro. This new iPad pro is said to come with a new 3D depth sensing Lidar tech. besides this Apple has also launched a new MacBook air with an all new keyboard. In this post we’ll be taking you through all that there is to know of the new iPad pro. So without further ado let’s begin…

A new Design for a new iPad Pro?

Apple has gone with its last major redesign that it launched back in 2018 for its new iPad Pro. Both the 11 inch as well as 12.9 inch iPad pros will come in this new design. The iPad pro will come with slim bezels all- round the screen leaving more real estate for the screen. But other than an almost bezels less look, the new iPad pro will also have facial recognition tech and a new Lidar based depth sensing system. What really grabs our attention here is the Lidar based depth sensing tech. This is normally found in self driving cars. It will be fun to see what it allows the new iPad pro to do.

More on Lidar and what it’s supposed do in the new iPad Pro:

A Lidar scanner can typically measure objects up to a distance of five meters. It can work supposedly in the case of the iPad pro, both in doors as well as outdoors. To make long things short, the new Lidar technology will enhance the augmented reality experience in the new iPad Pro.

The New iPad Pro is more powerful than some laptops:

Besides Lidar the new iPad Pro also comes with an ultra- wide camera which is specifically geared towards a better media creation experience. Add to that a new and improved micro phone and a powerful A12Z Bionic chip and you’ve truly got yourself a powerful tablet to work with. Apple has also said this new iPad Pro is more powerful than some Windows PC laptops.

Trackpad support can also be used with older iPads running on iOS 13.4 or later beginning 24th March. You will also be able to attach third party devices via the Bluetooth or USB- C port.

Other Apple News:

Apple also launched a new MacBook Air with an all new magic keyboard. This new MacBook air is all set to put to aside the multiple issues of the butterfly keyboard released back in 2015. How to clean Airpods & Charging Case

How to clean Airpods & Charging Case
Ease of usage, convenience, seamless connection with other devices is some of the key reasons why Apple’s AirPods have been a great hit among users. Not only that the wireless charging case too adds to the appeal. However when it comes to anything earbuds or earphones, they get a lot of usage. With usage too comes a lot of dirt. Over time these earbuds build up with wax, dirt and other sorts of grime. Ok yeah it is easy cleaning out the white portion of these earbuds. But what about the black grille portion? If you’re interested in cleaning them out, in this post we’ll be showing you how to clean AirPods & Charging case. If you haven’t thought of cleaning it, then there’s definitely going to be some build up. So without further ado let’s get to cleaning.

Here are some things you’re going to need:

You will need:

  • A cotton swab
  • Tooth Pick
  • Microfiber cloth

Now to getting started in how to clean AirPods & Charging case:

In order to clean your AirPods and charging case just follow these steps:

  • From the cotton swab remove a little cotton for a more narrower tool to work with.
  • While trying to clean your AirPods & charging case make sure you don’t use any sort of liquids. You don’t know how they will react to the device.
  • For tougher spots you can use the tooth pick. The tooth pick will be able to get in to never before gone areas and clean them out.
  • If there are still a couple of spots that could use a finer cleanse, then you could always try using a paper clip. Just make sure you don’t damage you’re device while doing so.
  • Blu Tack is another great option when it comes to removing tough grime from your AirPods.

Apple’s Advice in Cleaning your AirPods & Charging Case:

Apple’s only advice seems to be to use a lint free cloth. Besides that they also say not to use any liquids, aerosols and don’t leave moisture in any openings. If needed slightly dampen the cloth with isopropyl alcohol.

A micro fiber cloth is great for the outside of your AirPods, but when it comes to the inside, it is better to use a tooth pick or a cotton swab. But whatever use make sure you’re using it with care. You don’t want anything getting damaged or any free cotton fiber getting stuck inside.

Apple also sells these microfiber cloths for $9 for a six pack and $10 for a 24 pack. A little heads up- the 24 pack cloth one is larger than the 6 pack one.

Cleaning the Charging Case:

When it comes to cleaning the charging case, it is the charging ports that tend to get dirty. Before you try anything else, it’s better to use a blow dryer to get out any of the dirt. Whatever you do be gentle as that spot can get damaged easily.

In case you’re in a tough spot and that too literally, you can always head on to your local Apple store for some help.

All Glass- iPhone on the Cards?

All Glass- iPhone on the Cards?

A recent research conducted by Apple details an all- glass iPhone. This so called “display” will show icons, information as well as images. With the all- Glass iPhone the entire surface will be touch sensitive. With phones there is always the need to hold it in the right orientation. The mouth piece goes down and the speaker up. But with a glass surface this need not be the case.

No Right or Wrong Orientation with Apples New All- Glass iPhone:

Today to use Face ID you’d have to hold your phone in just the right position lest it does not work. Or to call someone too it is the same. You’re not going to hold the mouth piece to your head, right? But with the new iPhone on the cards, perhaps, all this will be in the past.

There will be no right or wrong orientation but just anything you please. The newly patented phone will reportedly have a 6 faced glass enclosure. It’s not definite as of now but it is assumed that the major portion will display the majority of controls and other icons. This may be true as you’d need to have easy access to certain apps and such.

An All Glass- iPhone Enclosure:

At present all phones these days use the glass component as a looking glass from which you can see and access various apps. But with the all new all- glass iPhone, the glass will be an all- round enclosure. The way it will be made will be so seamless as to suggest it is made from a single piece of glass.

Besides there being an aesthetic purpose to the all- glass iPhone it will also be more functional that today’s phones.

Functional and not just merely for looks?

The all glass facade will make the iPhone more functional. How you might say? The phone will then have multiple displays with both the front, back and sides of the phone being displays. With that also comes touch sensitivity. The phone will now be touch sensitive all round. This thus makes for a very functional phone. It will be interesting to see what Apple comes up with in this regard.

So what Happens to the All Glass- iPhone Buttons?

The buttons that now find a place on the iPhone may be replaced with all glass. The new displays could work in such ways so as to allow a person to use the surface instead, to say, mute or control the volume. According to various reports Apple is also planning on using the side displays to show app information. Such information could include stock related info and weather information.

As for the wall paper, it will supposedly go around right from the front to the sides, more like a gift wrap I guess.

Apple also says that anything displayed on one side can be displayed on the other sides of the glass facade as well. This gives you more of the seamless impression that they are intending to make.

Apple’s senior Vice president of internet software and services also said that company plans on bringing out the new Apple maps to the rest of the world too. But when this would happen is not stated as far. The only next stop on the new Apple map destination is Europe.

Apple’s First Rodeo with maps:

Apple’s first foray into the map world began in 2012. However the launch was not all hunky dory, it started with a lot of bugs. Since then Apple has made various improvements in the form of updates to compete with Google Maps, the Father of all maps.

In iOS 13 Apple also released ‘Look Around’- The Apple version of Google Maps’ Street View. But just like the new Apple maps that have recently been released, this one too is still a work in progress. Only places such as New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, Las Vegas, Oahu and Houston have got Look Around. What Apple’s Look Around has to offer that Google maps’ Street view doesn’t have is a high 3D resolution that offers more detail and smoother transitions. Look Around may make an appearance in other cities too, after Apple’s nationwide launch. Exactly when that will happen is anyone’s guess. But we hope sooner rather than later.

The new Apple maps also include real time transit data as well. Again this appears to be rolling out only in major cities such as San Francisco Bay Area, New York, Washington and L.A. Miami has been recently added too.

What Does the New Apple maps include?

The updated Apple Maps includes Look Around, Collections, Real time transit information, Favorites, a share ETA feature, information for new travel, flight statuses, indoor maps for malls as well as airports, Flyover and Siri as natural language guidance. Flyover is a feature that offers immersive 3D views of major metros as from above. Flyover is available in more than 350 cities at present.
Apple plans on using the imagery it collects to update its Look Around feature. It also plans on upgrading the maps platform in Europe shortly.

However with all being said and done, Apple’s main standout feature in the new Apple Map happens to be Privacy.

Apple Finger Devices and More

Apple Finger Devices
Back in 2019, patently Apple reported that Apple would be making Apple finger devices. These new Apple finger devices would be made to work with a future Apple mixed reality headset. You would be able to feel objects in a VR environment and more. In the real world users would also be able to interact with real objects like a HomePod, MacBook, Home Automation device or even a TV. Not only that you would also be able to make in air gestures that would give commands to the headset.

News of more Apple Finger Devices:

Recently Apple published a fourth patent detailing more about their Apple finger devices for headsets. The new patents cover not only details of a new finger device but also a head set with display for virtual worlds.

The new Apple Finger Devices Patent details:

The new Apple finger device is said to have a touch sensor which will supposedly gather information on an object as it moves along an exterior surface. The external surface can be the tip of a finger. The touch sensor is also said to have a one dimensional as well as two dimensional array of sensors. These sensors can be in the form of capacitive sensor electrodes or touch sensor elements. These various sensor elements will be based on optical sensing, ultrasonic sensing and more. There may also be sensors that gather input data from an area not in contact with the finger device but which comes in contact with a person’s finger.

Sensors such as ultrasonic sensors, force sensors, inertial measurement sensors, optical sensors and others will be used to get information on the user’s activities while viewing virtual content. This will have to work along with data that it receives from a head mounted device.

The data that the Apple finger device receives can be used to manipulate virtual objects. You will be able to move things in a virtual world or maybe even open up a list of options based on data gathered. In other scenarios you’ll be even able to interact with real world objects as computer generated stuff is overlaid on top of the object in a virtual world.

Interactions such as these will allow you to even control virtual objects.

In another patent:

To work along- side the Apple finger device, Apple has come up with a headset for VR or AR content. One of the major drawbacks to using a traditional VR or AR headset is that it bulkiness makes it uncomfortable for anyone to wear. To remedy this Apple has come up with a patent that allows you to see VR or AR content using glasses.

Another thing about the traditional headset is that it was cheap, therefore affordable to many but now with this new patent costs could be prohibitive to a lot of users. It also proposed in the patent, that a 3D map be taken of a person’s head. This will then be used in ensuring a perfect face fit module to be selected.

Avoid Feast or Famine with Demand Planning

How do grocery stores know how much food to buy and when to buy it? This has been a long-standing problem for the retail food industry, but data analysis techniques are coming to the rescue. Demand planning is a process whereby data gathered on many variables can be analyzed to make a forecast of future sales.

Planning vs. Forecasting

There is a difference between planning and making predictions. Demand planning is a process by which data are analyzed to make a forecast. If a retailer wants to know how much of an item to order, they can look at sales data from past years. For example, let's look at an item like butter. For most of the year, butter sales remain fairly constant, but at certain times, such as the weeks before Christmas, demand for butter goes up because of holiday baking. But what if there is a shortage of butter for some reason, or a viral news story about how eating too much butter is unhealthy? How will this affect the forecast?

Avoiding Empty Shelves

One of a grocer's worst nightmares is a row of empty shelves and a crowd of unhappy customers who are not able to find what they want in that store. Today's business software pulls data from past sales, as well as market trends, weather events, media input and other variables to make accurate predictions of how much of an item consumer will want. These forecasts help to put the products on the shelves when customers want them. If running out of something is such a fear, why not just order extra? That leads to problems of its own.

Reducing Food Waste

Overstocking leads to two major issues: loss of revenue and food waste. In the United States alone, food waste costs as much as $160 billion per year, with dairy products being the largest contributor to that figure. Not only does food waste cost money, it is also a growing environmental concern. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations estimates that as much as one-third of all the food produced in the world ends up in landfills.

Being able to make accurate forecasts for demand is crucial for business planning and today's analytical tools make that possible. Business intelligence analytics can take many variables and use this information to come up with predictions that are much more accurate than in the past. The next time you stop by the grocery store to pick up a package of butter, pause and think about how it came to be there when you needed it.

Apple Pencil Could be Getting a Lot More Interesting!

Apple Pencil
Two generations of Apple Pencil have gone by, each with their own set of gizmos. Which I might add have impressed us. But apparently Apple is not done yet with their Apple pencil. News is that the latest in the line- up could be getting a lot more interesting. In a latest patent filed by Apple we get to see what we can expect from Apple pencil 3.0- Just a name given.

New Patent and All we can expect from the - to – be - Apple Pencil:

A new patent discovered by the one and only Apple Insider details how the next Apple Pencil will come. Apparently we’ll be seeing a lot more gestures with the new Gadget than its second gen counterpart. In the 2nd version of the Apple pencil we merely had a double tap input scenario going on but this time around that input range will get a lot more wider.

An example of things to come is a touch sensitive panel found on the side of the pencil which will allow the user to slide up and down to scroll through web pages.

The whole idea in making an Apple pencil with a lot more range if I may, is that normally when a user is holding a stylus or some other sort of writing impetus they are kinda limited by what they can do. To overcome this limitation Apple has decided to introduce a new and improved Apple pencil with more gesture capabilities.

Newer Ways of Making the Apple Pencil More Interesting?

Another method as outlined by the patent, to make the Apple pencil more interesting is by allowing the user to roll the stylus or pencil in their hands to control something on screen.

There is also mention of a camera on the stylus in the patent that could probably help it in understanding what it is writing on and such. A little AI here and there wouldn’t be so bad eh!

However this is something that Apple has had in the wood works for some time now. So it is unclear whether it will make an appearance anytime soon.

Things of the Past…

Taking cue from previous patents Apple has also included support for other Apple devices. The so mentioned devices include the Apple TV and Apple Watch. But then again these are things of past mention as well. So who knows if they’ll be making an appearance in the Apple Pencil 3.0

As with all patents by all tech companies there is no surety when or even if these gadgets and gizmos will ever make it to any production belt, let alone any market. Tech companies keep patenting stuff that will never see the light of day. But one can only hope that the next Apple Pencil we see will have all that is expected and more.

A little side note- Apple’s pencils are some of the more advanced stylus’ out there. At present the latest of them comes with a double gesture tap system that we hope will get better.

Future Apple Watch is about to Incorporate Joystick-Like Digital Crown

Future Apple Watch
When it comes to interactive methods, the Apple watch is the winner. There are numerous interactive methods combined in an Apple watch. Some of the ways that you will find in this watch are voice control, side screen, touch sensor, as well as the Digital Crown. However, they think that their technology is not enough, and they need further improvement.

Recently, the Trademark Office and US Patent granted a patent. The patent states that "Capacitive gap sensor ring for an electronic watch." Besides, Apple is planning to convert the digital crown into a kind of joystick. Also, it will serve the purpose of the direction controller.

There is a possibility that the Digital Crown can be created through a shaft or a cap. After that, they will cover it with some of the capacitive elements in the middle of the two surfaces. Therefore, you can understand that one surface will rotate and move from another surface. To be precise, it will work like a shaft located within a ring.

Besides, they will comprehend the position of the internal element concerning the outer version. They will do it by pointing out the changes in the capacitance in the different layers of capacitors. To be precise, they check the capacitance difference in the touching points of the capacitors.

The measurement depends on the values, comprehended by the capacitive elements present in the fixed-in-place structure. The orientation of the other section with relation to the rotations doesn't matter. There is a possibility that they will use some of the measurements to find out the central element, which is connected with the outside section. Thus, it will help to determine how you must rotate the crown during the time of contact.

In case, if you want to determine the length where the crown is pressed into the watch, you can use numerous rows of capacitive elements. From the fundamental ground, it will help you to determine whether the crown is pressed or not. However, if you can add some more rows of capacitors, it will help you in precise, granular detection.

Just like the joysticks, the company will follow a return mechanism where the central element will come back to the center.

Besides, Apple is also planning to add some graphical elements to its watch. We all know that Apple doesn't use a cursor, and for that reason, they are planning to incorporate the graphical elements. Also, they are trying to make the movements compatible with the interface of the screen.

Well, Apple places a lot of patent applications regularly. However, those applications convey their field of interest. To be precise, they are trying to make efforts in these specific fields. But, there is no guarantee that they will incorporate these features in the future.

There are other filings related to the apple watch like EMG sensors, which will help you to measure your muscle movements. There is also the feature of hands-free tilts control.

So, these are the things that you must know about the future of apple watch.
