She Creates: Apple Celebrates International Women’s Day

She Creates
To celebrate women this Women’s Day Apple launches “She Creates”. This is a brand in which Apple will hold women centric shows at stores across the globe. Apple will hold over 5,000 shows across their stores titled “She Creates”. These shows will be held between 1st March and 31st March. Among the women set to take part in these shows are Meghan Trainor, March Linda Sarsour, Victoria Monet as well as designer Carla Fernandez among others. A person can sign up for two new sessions.

On March 2nd A music Lab Remix Session was held which featured Alicia Keys. The session invited people to deconstruct her song “Underdog”. This they were to do using GarageBand which is an app on the iPhone and iPad.

Some of the features included an Art lab titled “Playful Portraits”. In this session people were invited to take inspiration from three female artists. These artists are based in New York, Warsaw and Tokyo. These ‘She Creates’ session will be held in select Apple stores around the world.

Games and Apps a Celebration of women: 


She Creates will also celebrate women by releasing apps and games which will come out every day in the month of March. These games are created by women developers, entrepreneurs as well as designers.

Besides games and apps, Apple will also being showing TV shows and movies which are lady centric. These TV shows and movies are based on women whose narrative has changed the way we think.

A new Women Section: 


There will be a separate women section dedicated to bold new women, women directing women and rebellious Icons.

The Apple TV app will also offer free trials from Channels such as BritBox, History Vault as well as Lifetime Movie Club channels. These channels normally show female centered roles out to change the dynamic.

Changing the Narrative with “She Creates”: 


Changing the Narrative is a podcast celebrating Women podcasters, stories and shows. This will be shown by Apple on March 8th.

Apple also has a session where top women will show what they’re currently reading as well as their favorite books.

Workouts to anyone? 


Apple is also launching an “Apple Watch Activity Challenge”, to be held on March 8th. With this Apple watch users will be able to earn activity awards and stickers for messages if they complete certain tasks. These tasks comprise of a walk, or run or a wheel chair workout of 20 minutes and more.

Apple will be celebrating women across all genres from the music industry to art and business. These sessions will be branded under “She Creates” with shows and sessions being held every day in the month of March. There will also be shows held on the Apple TV, the app store and Apple Books all geared towards women. ‘Today at Apple’ will showcase events by artists, leaders, creators to inspire women in whatever they’re doing. There will more than 5,000 shows to be held across select Apple Stores.
