iPhone Text Crash Bug Hits Twitter and Snapchat

Text_Bug

Apple iPhone’s OS or the operating system which is known as the iOS, is one of the most popular operating platforms in the world. iOS is the most trusted operating systems as also the most widely used. iOS is used in phones, computers and laptops as well as the other gadgets of Apple.

iPhones go through software update every now and then, and recently it seems like the newest iPhone iOS 8 has developed a new text bug. This text bug is harmless in nature and does not cause any lasting damage to your phone. But what it succeeds in doing is that it crashes your phone down time and again and you have to wait for about some minutes to get your phone rebooted again.

While, this text bug had been affecting just through texts, recently it has been noticed that when that particular text is sent via third party apps like twitter and Snapchat, even that is getting affected as well and eventually causes the phone to crash down.

What is the text bug?

The text bug is nothing but a group of non- Latin characters and is referred to as the Unicode. It consists of characters from mainly languages such as Chinese and Arabic and this whole faulty sequence is sent with a text called ‘power’.

Whenever this text is sent to an iPhone and you try to open it, what happens is that your phone crashes down and takes a few minutes to reboot again. This is also applicable in the case of third party apps and if someone sends the text to you from Snapchat or twitter, even then when you try to open it, the phone crashes repeatedly. It works on twitter in the event of direct messages or even if you are mentioned in one of the messages. When the notification pops up on your phone and you try and see it that is when the crash occurs.

Why does the text bug crash your phone?

It is not exactly known as to why the text bug crashes your phone but it has been seen that it mostly tends to do so if it has been opened from the notifications. Actually the Unicode characters eat up too many resources of the iPhone when it appears as notifications on your screen and hence leads to the crash. The message can also be sent from any other OS based phone in order to crash and iOS phone. But when opened from the app itself, it seldom leads to the crash.

How to solve the problem?

The only permanent solution to the problem is when apple brings forward a software update. But till then you can work your way around this bug. You can use Siri to text and after you have texted in the bug ridden message thread, you can easily open the message thread without it leading to the crash.

Once you open the thread, just delete that particular Unicode or the thread altogether. One of the best ways of avoiding this bug is to turn off the notifications of twitter and Snapchat which will prevent the crashing of your iPhone.

The company is currently working on their violent threat policy. They want to ensure that this policy features any violence or threats against another person or anyone who is promoting violence.

The company has also rolled out latest features that enable all the twitter users to receive Direct Messages even from the people who are not following the user. Kiwi private messages stopped?

Kiwi is one of the many Twitter clients that have come out on Mac OS X. A client also complete and original, but which is unfortunately no longer actively developed. The developer has released a new beta version that fixes some bugs with Leo, but he does not spend time on its software in the future. The reason is the poor relations with the social network developers. In March, Twitter launched a stir by questioning the value of Twitter clients. Since then, some developers worry a little that their work has been for nothing. A recent change in the Twitter API has forced developers to change their applications under penalty of not to allow access to private messages.

A first application rejected on Windows 7 Phone

Brandon Watson had reason to commend the good performance of Windows 7 Phone and not worry about the Windows Marketplace: The Mobile Application Store Microsoft has just returned in the big leagues in rejecting his first application, Imagewind.

This application displays a stream of images from Twitter in real time, which has displeased Microsoft Imagewind proposed no filter images and a bit more daring than the average would have fallen under the eyes of young users.

The reason for rejection is not the only thing that makes it look like this matter to any eviction from the App Store. The application is actually present on the Windows Marketplace for a month, Microsoft is having "woken up" at the third update. The application developer has proposed to add a message explaining that the content was not filtered, but this was apparently not enough for the Redmond company.

The developer is then moved away: Microsoft denies its application even though unlike iOS, WP7 has no age rating in the Windows Marketplace, a solution to his problem. Imagewind is no longer available through a simple XAP file that can be used with a smartphone Windows 7 Phone hacked.

Walt Mossberg - Wall Street Journal

"Although this is an evolution rather than revolutions as the first model, the changes made by Apple are generally pleasant and positive, the device worked well. For most average users not techies, I recommend against many competing tablets I have tested so far, especially with entry-level price remains attractive. "

"Placed on a table between the old and the iPad, Motorola XOOM, the iPad 2 gives them an air puffy. Its surface is not even at the height of the side buttons of the first model. And although the weight difference is not huge (601 g against 680 g on the model Wi-Fi, ndr), Mossberg has still found a significant improvement when taking in hand the iPad 2.

Same comment as regards the speed of operation, no major differences, but clearly discernible gain, applications will launch a little faster and the whole is very reactive "It has never crashed during my tests, contrary all tablets Android that I tested. Given other tests, Mossberg was probably not too forced on the new iMovie and GarageBand, more prone to crashes.

Some items are subject to criticism, and are found in most reviews. "His camera takes mediocre pictures" If the video quality is considered "decent" Mossberg that Apple offers regrets cameras "disappointing" when it includes new applications and photo opts for quality.

On autonomy, it has not found the score of the previous model. A little over 10 hours cons iPad 11.30 with a continuous play of video, with Wi-Fi and 3G active and screen brightness at 75% Consolation Xoom on the same test takes less than iPad 2. But he could hold his office for 48 iPad using various applications (Mail, books, FaceTime, Twitter, Safari, etc.).

Also a critique on the new design, flatter and more rounded edges that make it a little trickier connecting accessory. Nevertheless it is to his taste for the best tablet on the market for the average user.
