Apple Announces Digital WWDC 2022 Event

Apple has officially announced that they will set their 33rd annual Worldwide Developers Conference from Monday, June 6 to Friday, June 10. The event has been held digitally for the last few years with no in-person gathering, and the 2022 Worldwide Developers Conference is no different.

Before 2020, the company hosted the event at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California. Several developers and Apple employees joined the conference. But from 2020, they came with a free-for-everyone online event running in 2022 this year also.

Susan Prescott, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations and Enterprise and Education Marketing, said that the conference had been a forum always to make a connection and create community. He also added that the event invited developers from all around the world to explore their new ideas. They prefer to connect with their developers.

Developers who will attend the virtual event don't have to give any money for the conference. Apple plans to offer sessions and labs for developers to let them know and learn about the new features and software updates. They will provide a traditional Swift Student Challenge also.

What does Apple say?

According to Apple, WWDC 2022 will provide extra information sessions, learning labs, and digital lounges for developers and others. They will provide more localized content to make the conference a truly global event.

They are planning to host a separate day at Apple Park on June 6 for students and developers so that both of them can witness the keynote and State of the Union videos with the online community. At the conference, the space will remain limited.
